Mr W F Faber (DA-NC) to ask the Minister of Health:
(1) Whether the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Office of Health
Standards Compliance (OHSC) will publish a report on findings of (a) a
non-compliant facility or (b) the facility that has been investigated
without prior approval; if not, (i) why not, (ii) from whom will the
CEO first have to seek approval, (iii) on what grounds can approval be
refused and (iv) what are the time frames that a decision must be
given once approval has been sought; if so, when;
(2) whether the CEO will have an appeal mechanism to override the refusal
of the reports being published; if not, why not; if so, what is the
process?

REPLY:
1) The Honourable Member is fully aware that the National Health
Amendment Bill that deals with this matter is currently starting the
parliamentary process. The Honourable Member must therefore be
patient.
