(INTERNAL QUESTION PAPER NO 16 - 2009)
Date reply submitted : 15 December 2009
Mr D A Worth (DA-FS) to ask the Minister of Police:
Whether there are any plans in place to rebuild and/or upgrade the police
station in Marquard, Free State; if not, why not; if so, (a) when will the
upgrade and/or building (i) begin and (ii) be completed and (b) what are
the relevant details?
CW133E
REPLY:
(a) The proposed construction of a new police station at Marquard
has been placed third on the Provinceâs priority list, however
owing to budget constraints all projects already in execution
have been given priority over those projects not in execution
yet. Funds have been requested and once these funds are approved
the site clearance, planning and execution processes will
commence.
(a)(i)(ii) The response to these questions cannot be provided because
this is dependent on the approval of funds.
(b) For details see paragraph (a).
