REPLY:
The Department cannot take any action based on allegations. Once the
allegations were reported, the matter was referred to the Independent
Complaints Directorate for further investigation. The Department
ensured that the Independent Complaints Directorate obtained the
necessary co-operation for the purposes of finalizing the
investigation. The National Commissioner will consider the outcome of
the investigation and decide on appropriate steps to be taken.
