(1) With reference to his reply to question 2596 on 11 August 2015, what is the (a) ideal ratio of vehicles that should be allocated to the detective unit and (b) maximum number of cases that a detective should be carrying at any given time; (2) (a) can he explain (i) how and (ii) why 27 detectives are allegedly forced to work on approximately 80 dockets each with only nine vehicles at their disposal and (b) what immediate interventions is he considering to take in order to alleviate the specified situation at (i) Edenvale police station and (ii) other police stations plagued by insufficient police vehicles assigned to detectives for the purpose of investigating cases?
