(1) Whether the support granted by the State for the upgrades at the private house of the President, Mr J G Zuma, in Nkandla are similar to support provided at the houses of former presidents; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (2) whether his department refused to pay for further additions that Mr Mandela requested to be made to his house in Qunu in 1999, on the basis that (a) there were no funds available and (b) Mr Mandela would have to pay for it himself as he was the cause of the disruption of the security that had been installed; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (3) whether Mr Mandela’s house stood with minimal security for a number of years while he was still President of the Republic; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (4) how long did this situation prevail before his department ultimately made further changes to the security; (5) whether he will make a statement on the matter?
