Reply:
(1) The National Drug Master Plan 2006 â 2011 ended at the end of March
2011.
(2) No, the new National Drug Master Plan 2013 â 2017 has not been
implemented
(a) The reason is that consultation process took longer than
anticipated due to the priority nature of the Plan, which also
generated interest amongst major stakeholders
(b) The National Drug Master Plan 2013 â 2017 will be implemented
once the Cabinet has approved it.
(3) Yes, the stakeholders are implementing their provincial and national
plans based on the priorities that were in the National Drug Master
Plan 2006 â 2011 which are still relevant in the new National Drug
Master Plan 2013 â 2017.
