990. THE MINISTER OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS ANSWERS:
No, the Department has not formally been informed of the latest findings in
the United States that fracking could contaminate drinking water supplies
with radioactivity. However, the Department is aware of media coverage on
the matter and there are also interested members of the public that have
brought the matter to the attention of the Department.
