(1) Whether his department has paid over all the money which was budgeted for scholar transport in the 2011-12 financial year; if not, (a) why not and (b) when will all these funds be paid over; if so, (i) what amount was (aa) budgeted for and (bb) actually paid over, (ii) what (aa) is the name of each contractor and (bb) amount was paid to each of these contractors and (iii) how many children have been transported as a result of these budget allocations; (2) whether any small or sub-contractors which were appointed to transport children have not been paid for their services in the 2011-12 financial year; if so, in each case, (a) which contractor, (b) what amounts were outstanding and (c) what were the reasons for these amounts to have been outstanding; (3) with reference to the tenders awarded for scholar transport in the 2012-13 financial year, (a) what is the total budget allocated for scholar transport in the Eastern Cape, (b) what is the name of each contractor to which the funds were paid over, (c) what percentage of the budget was allocated to each of these contractors, (d) how many children will be transported as a result of these budget allocations and (e) until when is it anticipated that this budget will be able to provide scholar support in the 2012-13 financial year; (4) whether any plans are in place to address the possible shortage of transport in the 2012-13 financial year; if not, why not; if so, what plans?
