(1) Whether he ensures that there exists a thorough legal foundation for routine terminations of employment contracts of officials who are given so-called golden handshakes by the Government to ascertain whether such officials might have had an adverse finding against them, making it possible to terminate their contracts in a manner less financially favourable to them and without absolving them from any action or legal consequences; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details; (2) whether he will quantify (a) how many senior officials’ contracts were terminated during the period 1 May 2009 to 31 May 2015 and (b) what the cost of each termination was to the State; if not, why not in each case; if so, what are the relevant details in each case; (3) whether he has found that the costs of the termination of the specified contracts are futile and fruitless; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
