Chairperson, the significance of the Bill is that it is legally binding, it enjoys wide acclaim, it contributes to the control of measures, it stabilises Africa, it maintains international peace, and it limits and alleviate, the suffering caused by excessively injurious weapons.
It means that South Africa will also contribute to international peace and security. It has no financial implications for South Africa other than the meeting. We therefore recommend its adoption. [Applause.]
