The project was initially approved for 126 beneficiaries in October 2003. At the time of approval of the project the land was still in the ownership of Department of Public Works. The project was blocked while waiting for transfer process. The transfer process was finalised in November 2009 and in 2010 the project was resuscitated as a special women project. The project was approved in 2009 for the construction of 129 housing subsidy units. An Ikatiseng Property developer was appointed as a turnkey developer. Delay was experience in project preplanning.
