1006. Mr T C R Walters (DA) to ask the Minister of Rural Development and
Land Reform:
Is the residence on the Havelock Holme farm in the Bedford district of the
Eastern Cape safeguarded from (a) vandalism and (b) general deterioration;
if not, why not; if so, what is the (i) name of the security company, (ii)
cost of security services and (iii) number of security guards employed to
secure the residence? NW1159E
THE MINISTER OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND LAND REFORM:
(a),(b) Yes. A security company was appointed by the Department of
Rural Development and Land Reform before the farm allocation was done
to guard against vandalism and deterioration.
(i) Ilanga Security Company.
(ii) R1Â 082Â 080 52.
(iii) 33 security guards were employed in terms of this contract.
