NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
QUESTION FOR WRITTEN REPLY
QUESTION NUMBER: 1002
Mr S C Motau (DA) to ask the Minister in The Presidency:
(1) What were the outcomes of the performance and delivery
agreements signed by Ministers with the President covering the
period May 2010 to the end of the 4th Parliament in May 2014;
(2) (a) who were the top ten performing Ministers and (b) who were
the ten worst performing Ministers;
(3) Have any of the worst performing Ministers been re-appointed to
the Cabinet; is so, why
REPLY:
The outcomes of the performance and delivery agreements were detailed
in the mid-term review and the 20 Year Review, both of which are
available on the DPME website. During the period in question,
regular progress reports against the targets in the performance and
delivery agreements were also made public on a quarterly basis on the
Programme of Action website, which is linked to the DPME website.
The President does not rate the performance of Ministers in this way.
DPME provides the President with reports on progress against the
targets in the performance and delivery agreements, and the President
uses these reports to inform his progress review meetings with his
Ministers.
