You mentioned a few positive attributes, which included good infrastructure, institutions that worked, robust democracy, a dynamic private sector, strong public finance and healthy financial institutions. Indeed, we should learn to trumpet these successes. South Africa is a much better place to live in since the dawn of freedom in 1994, and that message should not be drowned out by negativity.
