Dr Thomyangkoon informed the Committee that Rajavithi Hospital was the leading International Medical Centre, and its mission was to be the leader of academic international medical centres, by providing professional tertiary medical services, health promotion and having effective transferring systems. The core values of the hospital comprises enhancing the research and academic mind, creating joyfulness, alliance networking, victor, integrity, teamwork, humanising health care and innovation. The original Hospital was established in 1951. With 1 154 beds, it is the largest hospital under the Ministry of Public Health. In April 2011, the hospital celebrated its 60th anniversary. The hospital is divided into different directing clusters consisting of the following departments - Departments of General Administration, Finance and Accountancy, Procurement, Planning and Evaluation, Customer Relations and Human Resources.
