I. Skukuza Rest Camp is the largest in the park and is situated in the southern part of the park on the bank of the Sabie River. II. The Camp has two conference facilities, the Goldfields Auditorium and Nombolo Mdhluli conference centre. III. The conference has been built as part of SANParks commercialisation strategy which was adopted in 2001 and which also included the need to diversify the product offering. The main target market for the conference centre is the business sector. IV. The state of art facility consists of a main hall and four breakaway rooms' offers for up to 500 people. V. The conference centre as a whole is named after Corporal Nombolo Mdhluli who served the Kruger National Park during the period from 1919 until his retirement in 1958. VI. The Main Hall and the four breakaway rooms are named after the Big 5. Ndlopfu (main hall), Ingwe (room 2), Ndau (room 3), Mhelembe (room 3) and Nari (room 4). The breakaway rooms are all the same size and two of the breakaway rooms can be joined together and used as one venue. 8. Findings / Observations
