The police station was reported as dealing with the highest crime rate in the Province, with the most prevalent crime reported between April 2008 and March 2009, including theft general (2161); burglary residential (1690) and theft out of or from motor vehicles (870). During the same period there was an increase in the following crime: murder, attempted murder, sexual assault, assault common, robbery common and robbery aggravated.
