Hon Speaker, yes, indeed, I agree that the buck stops with the political head. However, the point I was clarifying is that it is the accounting officers who will have the responsibility of ensuring that the recommendations and points made by the Auditor-General in his report are attended to and implemented. Indeed, when we think of government administration or Public Service administration, it is the directors- general who are in charge. That is why, together with the senior managers, they need a great deal of support and, indeed, the political heads, the political leadership, ought to give them all the requisite support as well as direction.
