Venezuela has a public banking and a private banking system. The public banking system strives to have banking facilities at each railway station in order to bring banking to the people. There are conditional credit cards, eg credit to buy food with low interest rates. Oversight is done by a controller, and deposits comprise 60% from the private sector and 40% from the public sector.
