This steel industry places Venezuela at fourth place as a steel producer in Latin America and the largest of the Andean region. The company has successfully placed its production level at around 4 million tons of liquid steel per year, with productivity indicators, total yield of quality, timelines of delivery and customer satisfaction, comparable to most competitive companies in Latin America. Through the nationalisation of the company, the revolutionary government confirms its commitment to the attainment of full sovereignty and self-determination of the country by owning Sidor, one of the companies with more strategic value to the nation which now serves every Venezuelan.
