The management was reported to be concerned about the turnaround time of five days for applications to be processed by the labour centre. Client Services Officers were working under enormous pressure because of the turnaround time. This culminated in a situation where applications were sent to Bloemfontein offices with outstanding information. When applications were submitted to Bloemfontein, it was very difficult to send outstanding documents afterwards. Due to this challenge it took approximately eight to 10 months for clients to be paid.
