In light of its observations, the Committee recommended that: . Management should undergo training on leadership; . the gap in terms of co-operation that existed between the management and staff be addressed by means of improving communication; . the national Department of Labour should educate farmers and municipal managers about safety at the workplace; . the shortage of tools of trade should be addressed by the provincial and national Departments of Labour; . it was completely unreasonable and not acceptable to manage subordinates with threats and intimidation and that such behaviour should stop; . the labour centre should submit outstanding responses in writing to the Committee.
