Employers were intimidating employees, which sometimes resulted in the non- disclosure of relevant information. Inspections were not reaching all the areas covered by the labour centre owing to the shortage of inspectors. The number of inspectors allocated for the labour centres did not correspond with the areas covered by the labour centre. The labour centre felt that the current legislation did not strengthen the work of inspectors. Employers were exploiting the loopholes that existed in the legislation.
