Despite being a no fee school, the school had to raise funds to cover food, toiletries, incontinence pads, transport to commute learners to health care facilities and sporting events. The Department of Basic Education did not subsidise sport activities, so the parents had to be responsible for securing the funds to commute learners to sporting events.
