SITA's prices were bench-marked; but the challenge was that services they provided were unique. SITA is a captive supplier, since it is mandated by legislation to provide services to all of government. The more departments are on SITA's infrastructure, the cheaper the unit costs for SITA Sservices will be for the individual departments. The main challenge with pricing was the procurement of infrastructure. SITA indicated that they would be addressing procurement as part of the Tturnaround strategy.
