The Oversight visit was meant to allow the committee to do oversight of SITA and PALAMA's operations, to allow for evaluation of their operations and to receive responses on matters that had been raised with the Committee previously. Not only wasere the original aims of the oversight visit achieved, but knowledge was gained on the transversal systems and other ICT infrastructure which SITA hosts on behalf of government and the call centres. PALAMAs realignment towards their established mandate was also welcomed.
