2. The Committee has duly considered the findings and recommendations of the Auditor-General and Public Protector contained in the reports. The Committee was told that there had been some progress, but remains cautious in accepting this, especially after learning from staff members at the CGE of problems at the CGE. Overall, the Committee believes that there are a great many challenges to overcome, especially relating to the CGE's corporate governance and leadership.
