Lastly, the teacher unions, but most notably Sadtu, have become a serious problem. [Interjections.] They have already shown us that they are prepared to go to any lengths, even at the expense of our children's education, to get whatever they want. They appear to be in charge of our department, and not the other way round. For instance, we are told that the situation in the Eastern Cape is what it is because the department cannot move or do anything without the consent of the unions. What is that?
