Dr Sibisi said that he had served on the Board for quite a while and that it was the first time that the core security and defence entities of Denel were showing a profit of R200 million. There were, however, still financial losses for entities such as the Denel Saab Aerostructures (DSA). The core message stemming from Denel's finances showed that Denel, excluding DSA, had attained the objective in the turnaround strategy which was started in 2005.
