The airline's revenue for the current financial year is R1.6 billion, down by 0.5% compared to the previous financial year where revenue was R1.8 billion. The decline in revenue is attributed to the decline in passenger demand as a result of the economic downturn and the loss of passenger market share in the airline's top regional routes. This, however, has not dented the airline's profits for the year, which are reported at R250.7 million, growing by 9.6% compared to the previous financial year. Ms Welman attributed this improved performance to the airline's fuel-efficient fleet, as well as the executive team's effective management of operations.
