. The complete lack of discipline within the College was evident in the physical surroundings and infrastructure. Many areas in the College were dirty and unkept, and there was a general sense that neither the staff nor the trainees had any pride in or respect for the College or for the profession of policing. Clearly, the problem resided with the management of the College, as it was through them that this sense of pride and professionalism would be passed on to the trainees. The staff were not doing their work properly, and if the staff did not keep high and professional standards, then neither would the trainees.
