The Committee was told that there was a good working relationship between the CPF and the station commander. However challenges were discovered in that the CPF was last funded three years back. Furthermore, there was no training provided to the CPF. The equipment, such as computers, issued to the CPF offices was not functioning. Many complaints were received from the public about the reaction times of the police. The Committee was told that feedback was not provided to the public regarding the progress of the cases. It was alleged that police were corrupt in that they were taking bribes from illegal liquor sellers and taxi drivers.
