According to Mr Naidoo, Samaf's objectives are aligned to that of the Economic Development Department (EDD) which are: co-operatives review (improved support to FIs), spatial development (extension of Samaf offerings to remote and rural areas), creation of job opportunities for the youth, research and policy (ongoing research for service delivery optimization), red tape review (review of turnaround times and bottlenecks) and, reviewing and implementing measures to reduce costs.
