One of its projects was done in partnership with the Eastern Cape Provincial Department of Agriculture, breeding and distributing rams across the Eastern Cape. Predation was the biggest challenge threatening food security. There had been calls on the DAFF to intervene without success, and the Department of Environmental Affairs had passed legislation, but it was not being properly implemented, nor was service delivery up to par.
