Although the farm has been abandoned, the initial members of the Cooperative are still liable for the mortgage and all levies and payments on the land and it should not be difficult to trace their whereabouts. . That it took so long for the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Rural Development to pick up that there were problems within the cooperative. . Given the extent to which the cooperative was supported and the financial resources that went into it, particularly in respect of infrastructure, it is a concern that no audit on funds allocated to the project, exists.
