d) Strategy and Governance - the Department will focus on improving planning and service delivery in the social development sector through best practice on planning, business processes improvements and customer centred service delivery model. It will improve accountability and promote service delivery across the sector by implementing a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems. It will improve corporate governance of public entities, bodies and boards by developing and rolling out performance management framework, quarterly performance assessment of entities by March 2010. Lastly, it will integrate population trends and dynamics into departmental planning by developing the five year population and development strategy by March 2010.
