With regard to the election observer missions, one of the tasks of the PGIR is to assist in sending election observer missions to countries in Africa. Three missions have already been sent to Guinea, Burundi and Mauritius. Fifteen other countries in Africa will be holding elections in 2011, namely Cameroon, Cape Verde, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Gabon, The Gambia, Guinea, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritania, So Tom and Principe, Somaliland, Tunisia and Zambia. When we receive invitations we will certainly do our best to send South African delegations to observe those elections.
