(1) Why did the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) choose to give MultiChoice (Pty) Ltd the right to approve whether the SABC (a) can broadcast (i) special and (ii) significant national events to broadcasters in Africa and (b) will acquire this right through the SABC News Channel on the MultiChoice platform; (2) whether a quorum of the interim SABC board approved the condition in the agreement between the SABC and MultiChoice which was signed in July 2013 to dispense with access control conditions for set-top boxes; if so, (a) when, (b) which non-executive members were present at the meeting and (c) where can the minutes of the meeting be accessed; (3) did his department and the SABC agree to dispense with an access control system; if so, (a) when and (b) who made the decision?
