(1) With reference to her reply to question 1379 on 24 June 2013, (a) why does her department not have statistics readily available on how long it has stopped mines and (b) how does her department measure the impact of mine stoppages on the mining industry in the absence of such statistics; (2) whether her department has statistics for each year since 1 January 2006 on (a) how many section 57 appeals in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Act 29 of 1996, (i) have been (aa) confirmed, (bb) varied, (cc) substituted, and (dd) set aside and (ii) are pending before the Chief Inspector of Mines and (b) from which mining company each specified appeal stemmed; if so, what are the relevant details in each case; if not, why does it not have the statistics available; (3) how long has it taken on average for a decision on a section 57 appeal to be made (a) in the (i) 2008-09, (ii) 2009-10, (iii) 2010-11, (iv) 2011-12 and (v) 2012-13 financial years and (b) during the period 1 April 2013 up to the latest specified date for which information is available?
