(1) (a) Why did the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) fund the training of learners in qualifications registered specifically with the Mining Qualifications Authority Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) and not that of other Setas, (b) what is the total contribution by the UIF to this training initiative, (c) which service providers were contracted to facilitate the training of these learners and (d)(i) when, (ii) where and (iii) how were these learners (aa) recruited and (bb) selected for this training scheme; (2) whether this procurement was done through competitive bidding; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details; (3) what is the (a) level of training for this training initiative, (b) number of (i) learners enrolled and (ii) those that were found competent and (c) the number of previously unemployed learners who have been placed in permanent employment since achieving their qualifications?
