(1) Whether, with reference to section 11(2) of the Immigration Act, Act 13 of 2002 (as amended), foreign nationals who are visiting the country to undertake short-term employment (details furnished) are currently issued with visas in terms of this section of the said Act; if not, (a) why not and (b) what mechanism are in place to allow for such visits which are often required at short notice; if so, what conditions and requirements are prescribed for the granting of such permits; (2) why foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries are currently being refused such permits at the Cape Town International Airport, while these are being granted at the (a) O R Tambo and (b) King Shaka International Airports; (3) whether she will take any action to ensure uniformity in the application of legislation at all ports of entry; if not, why not; if so, (a) what action and (b) what are the further relevant details?
