(1) Whether, with reference to his department’s booklet titled, National Health Insurance – Health Care for all South Africans (details furnished), any (a) funded and (b) unfunded posts have been frozen by the Government since 1994 up to the latest specified date for which information is available; if so, (i) how many in each year in each province, (ii) at which health facilities were these posts allocated and (iii) what type of health professionals were these posts intended for; (2) whether any steps have been taken to increase the number of health professionals which are produced in South Africa since 1994 up to the latest specified date for which information is available; if not, why not; if so, (a) what steps, (b) in which year and (c) how many health professionals have been produced in South Africa for each health professional category during the said period; (3) how long has it taken to fill vacant posts for each health professional category in each province during the said period for (a) local and (b) foreign health professionals; (4) what amount has been spent in each province since 1994 up to the latest specified date for which information is available on (a) purchasing new equipment, (b) maintenance of the equipment and (c) which equipment was never used?
