(1) Whether, with reference to his reply to question 361 on 15 March 2011, any of the vacant posts at the three forensic chemistry laboratories (FCLs) have been filled; if not, (a) why not, (b) which posts are set to be filled at each FCL during the current financial year and (c) what progress has been made in terms of advertising and interviewing with regard to filling the posts at each specified FCL; if so, in each case, (i) which posts and (ii) when; (2) (a) what is the extent of the remaining backlog in analysing (i) blood samples, (ii) food and (iii) toxicology reports at each specified FCL and (b) how long will it take to eliminate the remaining backlog in each case; (3) whether the renovations at the Johannesburg FCL have been completed; if not, (a) why not, (b) when are they expected to be completed and (c) what (i) amount has been spent to date and (ii) additional amount is expected to be spent on the renovations; (4) whether he has found that all three FCLs comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Act 85 of 1993; if not, in each case, (a) with which aspects do they fail to comply and (b) what steps are being taken to rectify the situation?
