(1) Whether the Medicines Control Council (MCC) has inspected any pharmaceutical manufacturing plants (a) in (i) 2007, (ii) 2008 and (iii) 2009 and (b) during the period 1 January 2010 up to the latest specified date for which information is available; if not, (i) why not and (ii) how often should the MCC inspect these factories; if so, in each case, (aa) how many, (bb) which factories were inspected and (cc) on what specified dates was each respective plant inspected; (2) whether all the factories that were inspected passed the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) minimum standards; if not, (a) which factories failed the GMP and cGMP minimum standards, (b) what specific aspects did they fail in each case, (c) what date was set for them to comply with minimum manufacturing standards and (d) which products were affected in each case; (3) whether follow-up inspections were carried out to ensure that each factory that had failed to meet the GMP and cGMP minimum standards had achieved compliance; if not, (a) why not and (b) how did the MCC ascertain that minimum standards were being met; if so, (i) on what dates and (ii) what was the outcome in each case; (4) whether any factories were prevented from manufacturing pharmaceutical products while they failed to meet GMP and cGMP minimum standards; if not, why not; if so, (a) which factories, (b) for what period of time were they prevented from manufacturing and (c) which products were affected?
