(1) Whether a tender process was followed in awarding the contract to repair storm damage to houses in the Emnambithi-Ladysmith Local Municipality; if not, why not; if so, (a) what process and (b) what are the further relevant details; (2) whether the contract was awarded to a Emnambithi-Ladysmith Local Municipality based contractor; if not, why not; if so, what (a) were the total costs of the repairs to the houses, (b) are the full details of other contractors who were prepared to carry out the repairs to the damaged houses, including but not exclusively the prices tendered by each contractor (c) are the details of the repairs done or due to be done to each house and (d) was the cost of repairing each house; (3) whether every house that was repaired or due to be repaired was independently verified as having been damaged during the storms for which the Government determined that damaged houses should be repaired at government expense; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (4) whether all the repairs done were inspected by the building inspectors of the Emnambithi-Ladysmith Local Municipality; if not, why not; if so, who and/or what department inspected and/or verified whether all the houses claimed by the contractor to have been repaired have in fact been repaired and that the work claimed to have been done on each house had been done?
