(1) How many cases were investigated by the Special Investigating Unit into the Department of Social Development or any of its entities in the 2012-13 financial year; (2) how many of these cases, (a) led to convictions and (b) have been heard by court, but have not led to a failed conviction; (3) whether the financial expense to the State can be determined for cases where an investigation did not lead to a conviction; if not, why not; if so, what were the costs to the State for each such case?
