Whether, given that Eskom must now utilise its two diesel-powered turbine plants that were originally intended for emergency use only, on a full-time basis and at an expensive consumption rate of 40 tonnes of diesel per hour and had a diesel budget of R2,5 billion and spent nearly R11 billion on diesel in the 2013-14 financial year alone, the costs of which they simply pass on to the consumer, she can inform of the steps she is taking to ensure that Eskom does not cripple this country as a result of perceived (a) poor budgetary planning, (b) overspending, (c) under-delivery on electricity demand and (d) alleged incompetence?
