241. Mr M J R de Villiers (DA-WC) to ask the Minister of Public Works:
1) Whether his department is currently renting any buildings for offices
of the Department of Social Development; if not, what is the position
in this regard; if so, (a) where is each building located in each
province, (b) how much rental is being paid for each building, (c) to
whom and (d) who are the (i) owners of each of these buildings and
(ii) directors of the companies;
2) whether his department is in arrears in the rental of any of the
buildings; if so, (a) for which building, (b) what are the reasons for
being in arrears, (c) for how long have these funds been outstanding
and (d) when will each of these arrears be settled?

1. Yes, the national Department of Public Works is renting two buildings
for the national office of the Department of Social Development.
a) The national office of the Social Development is in Pretoria,
Gauteng.
