Mr V M Manzini (DA-Mpumalanga) to ask the Minister of Basic Education:
(1) Whether, with regard to certain public schools in
Mpumalanga in the Bohlabela District (names furnished), a
date has been set for infrastructure commencement; if
not, why not; if so, what is the (a) commencement and (b)
completion date;
(2) with regard to a certain school (name furnished) hosting
the students of a certain school (name furnished) until
the latter schoolâs building is completed, what are the
reasons for the former school having excess buildings?

Answer
1. According to information received from the Mpumalnga Department of
Education, a need has been identified for the provision of building
infrastructure for JB Khoza Primary School, however the date has not
yet been set.
a) The Mpumalanga Department of Education has not set a date for the
commencement of the replacement of structures because of budgetary
constraints.
b) Efforts are being made by the Mpumalanga Department of Education to
ensure that the school is included in the programme for 2013/2014
financial year.
2. Declining enrolment at Buyisonto Primary School is the reason for the
school having excess classrooms.
