Mr A Watson (DA-MP) to ask the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs:
(1) (a) What is the total length of the outer fence of the Kruger
National Park and (b) what length of the fence forms the borders (i)
with (aa) Mpumalanga and (bb) Limpopo and (ii) between (aa) South
Africa and Mozambique and (bb) South Africa and Zimbabwe;
(2) (a) how often is the fencing checked for (i) damages and (ii)
maintenance required, (b) when was the last check done, (c) what is
the current condition of the fencing and (d) who is responsible for
the (i) checking and (ii) maintenance;
(3) (a) What is the 2009/2010 budget for this expenditure and (b) what
was the actual expenditure for this item in the 2008/2009 financial
year?
